This sounds like an interesting plot, I'm just sorry we don't get to see more of the characters. It seems to be more my type of science-fiction though as I don't really enjoy the post-apocalyptic types. Great review!

The brain transplant premise is not something I've seen much before.
Thank you for the review.

I love dystopian books and this one sounds well-written. I loved the sample and your review helps cement it in my mind as definite book to read for me.

I have never been a scifi fan but I do love to read medical mysteries so I think I would enjoy this book very much. Good review but the lack of character development wouldn't really bother me.

This sounds like a really neat concept, but in your review I was most interested in the character who did the heroic deed many years ago that no one knows about... I would be interested in reading details of his background and life in the time span since his heroic act, so it's unfortunate that the book doesn't go very deeply into character development. It seems like that character would be an interesting one to explore.

Awesome review! I cut and paste what I wrote on LinkedIn.

I only read the sample. The actual story is short with around 100 plus pages. This novel is set into the future. There has been success with switching the brain, that just a short summary of this medical breakthrough. The story is told so far by an elder man named John. He lives in an assisting living home. He then meets with an old friend Phil who is a lawyer. They are possible about to join together for an adventure. It sounds good! I will probably read this book. Why? I want to learn more about John.

The cover looked really informational and serious so I was not expecting it to be a science fiction novel. Then all these other questions came up about what kind of science or future or story it would be. This review answered all those questions perfectly! Thanks!

Very detailed review but unfortunately it further confirmed that it's probably not my cup of tea. I am down to try new sci-fi reads, yesterday's BOTD actually sounded interesting, I'd give that a try, but this one is one of those ones that sounds like if it was done well it'd be a good movie. Book though? Mmm not sure I wanna read about brain transplants, medical advancement, and futuristic stuff. Again, detailed and thorough review - so much so I just know it's not my kinda book. Thanks for the in depth sight though! :roll2:

Seems like an interesting read! I don't usually read books like this one, but I might make an exception for this one. Great review too!

I'm fascinated to find out by what qualifications a candidate is deemed worthy of a second chance on life in this scenario. Thanks for making me think about this a little bit!
