Westworld

Post by kathylapan »

Westworld, by Michael Crichton, was made into a very good movie back in 1973. Now, HBO is making a show of it, starring Anthony Hopkins. Have you read the book?

Need to see film but it's rarely shown nowaday. Crichton is just an awesome writer.

I did hope as much. But part of me wants that first viewing to be on the 'idiot box' regardless. Films before I was around in this world have this retro appeal.

This is very, very 1970s. My bf recommended it to me, he's 49 so his recommendations often are movies that are older than I am

And I'm a baby at 32 and 11/12... I do like my vintage films. Dirty Harry and apocalypse now are two of my favourite violent movies, but have plenty of artistry to them.

He has a masterful command of movie quotes that leave my plethora of spongebob references in the dust!
