I love reading about elves, faeries, gnomes, trolls, dragons and magic. One of my favorite series growing up was the Artemis Fowl books. If you enjoy reading about the same things you will love these action packed books!

The iron witch series by Karen Mahony, although I did not find the first book as exciting as I thought I would, but the other books are quite good (at least that is what I have heard, since I have only read the first two books) :)

I am so happy you have the Iron Fae on here, that series at first was really boring but I started it so I had to finish it. I ended up falling in love with it. In the essence of showing how bad the Fae can be this series excels. It shows the good and the bad but mostly the bad. I really love how it focused on True Names and the way names rule the world of the Fae.

Soul Screamers by Rachel Vincent is interesting on the way it gives you Bean Sidhes, and Cassandra's Clare the Mortal Instruments paints a not so nice picture of the Fae attitudes and scheming.

The Blue girl by Charles de Lint left a large impact on me as a preteen and the way the faeries were so...malicious as did the Iron Side Series by Holly Black that really above all else I think expressed the gravity of the True Names.

I don't know if you would count the Switched Series by Amanda Hocking since it is about trolls but it was pretty good too.

If you like fey magics and the likes, then you should definitely read the Throne of Glass Series. This series is not entirely about Fey world but the world building includes alot of fantasy and magic and faes are definitely in them.

That sounds so pretty!!!

I want to get a tattoo but I feel like I don't like anything enough to want it on my body forever. Hahaha.
I admire people who are confident in their likes or something, if that makes any sense.

Faeries are already in my blood...why shouldn't I have them on my skin as well? 8)

I'll reiterate how great Karen Marie Moning's fever series is. It's a contemporary story about the Fae, centered around a Sidhe-seer who starts out as a dumb blonde and turns into someone pretty darn awesome. Not only do I love it, but my husband does too. When I first got a kindle I downloaded the first one for free one day. We've been hooked since, and have bout five sequels since then, and plan to get the next one in January.

One of my best friends got me addicted to them. She wrote a book about 13 fairies all named after months of the year, plus the 13th one which was the evil one... I was hooked on them from there.

I like Lament and Ballad, by Maggie Steifvater. She is one of my all time favorite authors, and these two novels are some of my favorite fairy novels! I am definitely going to be reading some of the recommendations that you all posted. They look good!

Fae and fairies.. Have you read the Mortal Instrument Series? I just finished reading them and they're great books with quite a cast of mythical creatures.
