I read it in middle school, too, and loved it. I probably read it several times, actually. I don't remember thinking anything about religious themes in the book, though. I'll definitely pay attention when I inevitably read it again (hopefully soon!). I read the next book or two in the series, but I couldn't get into them as much. Has anyone else read further into the series?

I haven't read this book in so long; I think I last read it in middle school or high school. what I do remember is that while I did enjoy it, I also was really annoyed by it. the main characters just really bothered me.

I will be rereading this book as well this year! I had no idea it was a series until last year and I am hoping to read the rest of the books in the series as well! I had to have been in the 7th grade the first time I read it, so it has been a while! Excited!
All I need is a new book and a place to read it...

Which illustrator is considered the one to have? For example Alice in Wonderland it's John Tenniel. For Wind in the Willows it's Ernest Howard Shepard. So I assume A Wrinkle in Time also has one that is vastly considered "the" illustrator to have for it.

I had downloaded the audio from my library, but it expired before I finished it. I need to get it again. I remember enjoying it.

I loved this book, and all the sequels. Its been quite a well since I've read them, but I do know they were definitely books that made you think! I'm gonna have to dig up my copy and re-read now. Thanks! :)

But what sort of book is it? Can any of you relate it or compare it to any other book or author. The title sounds entincing enough.

I too remember little of the plot or characters, just that it was my favorite book for a long time, and a great introduction to sci-fi/fantasy. I'm fairly certain I read all of the books that were out at the time. Hmmm, might have to re-read.

I loved the concept the book had around time. This has been one of my favorite books since I was a kid and I just bought it for my daughter. I was disappointed in the sequels because they didn't relate with the first book hardly at all.

I have somehow NEVER read this book! I need to get my hands on it asap. It is a staple in a reader's diet it sounds like.
