My favorite Christian fantasy author is Stephen Lawhead. His Pendragon series is my favorite all time series.

James A. Owen writes great fantasy, but not too heavy on the Christian aspect.

C.S. Lewis.
I love his Narnia Chronicles.

Plus, of course, J.R.R. Tolkien.

Thank you! I wasn't aware that there were Christian Fantasy writers besides C. S. Lewis! I will have to check this out! :D I love reading Christian writers to avoid the gore and language that is just unnecessary to me. You can still get emotions across and intrigue people without it!

This genre name hasn't really taken off in Australia yet but I did hear of a young author Christine E. Schulze who wrote an ebook featuring vampires and fairies.

Maybe the vampires are like on Twilight and don't go after humans? Maybe it doesn't get into the gore? hmmmmm Good question!!

While C.S. Lewis is at the top of my list for favorite Christian fantasy author, I also really like Donita K. Paul. She wrote the Dragonkeeper Chronicles.

Frank Peretti is absolutely fabulous. Most of his books are about spiritual warfare, but it takes on other forms than just angels and demons. I highly recommend The Visitation, House, This Present Darkness, and Piercing the Darkness. (I believe Piercing the Darkness is the sequel to This Present Darkness, but it may be the other way around.) I couldn't put them down. So so so so good!
