Has anyone else read this book?
I want to buy it but... I need someone to just give me an idea of what they thought.

I'm halfway through it right now. It plateaus in places, but works overall. Though it takes place in Japan, you don't need to be intimately familiar with Japanese culture/history to appreciate it. There are only a few passing references to such subject matter.
"The world is a vampire/sent to drain/secret destroyers hold you up to the flames/And what do I get for my pains?/Betrayed desires, and a piece of the game."

I'm really interested in that myself. Could let us know what you thought of it after you finish it?
