I am currently reading this book. I never had the chance to read it in high school, our teachers always had us read other classical novels, so it has been on my list to read. I find it interesting the savagery expressed by one group of kids versus the other. It's hard at times to keep up with who is speaking or not speaking but so far I have enjoyed it.

I had to read this twice in high school and enjoyed it both times. I think it shows the inherit nature of man, and it is haunting.

This is one I have reread as well. One of my favorites!

This book paints such a dark, yet accurate picture of human nature. It doesn't take long for society to fall into violent conflict.

I read this book a couple of months ago. I enjoyed it. I like it when the authors use symbols and analogies and make you think about the different meanings they portray. I wrote a short review of this book in Portuguese.
To read or not to read? That's not even a question!

I had to read this book for school, and maybe it was because I had to read it, but I didn't enjoy this book as much as I'd hoped considering how famous it was

It was one of my earliest reads.
I found the first half to be a bit dull, and I almost lose interest until...
BAM! I could not sleep in the middle of the night until I finished it.
The last part left an impression in me that I'll never forget.
Will I recommend it? YES,
but only when there's a specific request where the book fits the description of what a reader wants to read.
just call me "jane" :tiphat:

It was one of the first book I read, the English is outdated so I wouldn't wonder why it didn't chime for you but the storytelling is par on course. I enjoyed it a lot as it explains what a tense situation would degenerate to if there are no rules and people to uphold the rules.

I was also somewhat disappointed when I read this novel. I'd heard so much about it that I had high expectations and then it didn't really live up to them.
