Elizabeth I by Margaret George-Review

Post by Booklover83 »

I was very surprised at how good this book was. It takes you through the later part of Elizabeth's reign from around the time of the Spanish Armada through her death. I found the history to be quite accurate from what I know of Tudor history although I am sure liberties were taken. It was a long book but definitely a page turner. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves Tudor history and will be reading more Margaret George in the future. For a 600 page novel of real history it was not boring by any means and it gave a wonderful visual picture. I am someone who loves to visualize the scenery when I am reading, it helps me connect to the characters in the novel.
