Dickens is a Master.

I consider Dickens to be one of the masters. "Tale of two cities" would have to be my favourite, but I also love "Great Expectations" and "Oliver Twist".

I like Dickens too, although I've only read four of his novels (and seen several film/TV adaptations). My favourite is probably Great Expectations. I've never actually read Tale of Two Cities. It's one of those books I feel I really should have read by now - after all, it has one of the most famous opening sentences of all time.

Hi MrWright, you should really read "Tale of two Cities" if you are a Dickens fan. It has one of the most brilliant endings that I have ever read. :)

I'm familiar with the story from a BW film version from the fifties. It had Christopher Lee in it. I don't know if you've seen it? I should still read the book though.
