What did you think of Tolkien's Book "Hurin's children&

Post by Mirajeanne »

Hey everyone :D

I am a really big fan of J.R.R Tolkien and i read all his books.
But the last one , " The children of Hurin " i am not really convinced . Well actually it's not really new , it was already published in the "unfinished tales" as you must know , among other tales.

I really think that publishing that tale in a new book is just a commercial policy since there are no differences with the version which was included in the "unfinished tales", furthermore now they are talking of making a movie out of it .. . what is your opinion about it ?

I am also a big fan of Tolkien and I really enjoyed "The children fo Hurin". I read it along time ago and remember that is a sad story with feelings of hopelessness throuhout the story. From what I remember I think it would make a really good movie if the cast was good and plenty of money for special effects. :)

I loved the children of Hurin, it reads like a mythic tragedy.
