I just presented my friend with It's a Mom by author Shefali Tsabary when she gave birth to her son. She loved it. This is a book that is different from other early parenting books because for once it focuses on what the mother goes through rather than what the child goes through. Well, it does focus on the child as well, but more so on the psychological angst and triumphs of a "normal," "regular," working mother. A down to earth, honest book.
