SOMEBODY OWES ME MONEY by Donald E. Westlake. Tied with THE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY by Douglas Adams. Both are excellent and hilarious genre novels, and their respective writers were brilliant.
The joys of literature transcend the evils of the world. I believe in its miraculious baptism and emotional power of the words trickling down the page. To me, there is no higher artform...

I am reading the Origami Yoda series to my kids right now, and it is very funny and clever. I know they are for children, but they are really great. I really recommend them if you need a short, fun, easy read!

The funniest book I ever read was "Let's Pretend This Never Happened"..a memoir by Jenny Lawson. It not only made me laugh out loud..often..but I couldn't stop laughing!

I've never read a book that's entrenched in the humor genre, but the one that made me laugh the most is Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. It's more wit and sarcasm, though.

I would have to agree with one of the previous posters for having The Dirt (Motley Crue's autobiography) be the funniest book ever written!

Has to be the Georgia Nicolson series by Louise Rennison. 'That's when it fell off in my hand...' has to be the funniest.

Brain Droppings by George Carlin had me laughing that silent, deep, tear running laugh.

The one that pops up in my mind right away is "The Mating Season" by P.G. Wodehouse. It cracks you up from the very first line! :D The story itself and the way of telling it is so hilarious. I've read it in my native language (Bulgarian) before, but I recently bought the English one too and hopefully I'll read it soon.

I liked "Bossypants" by Tina Fey. It's not a humor book, but it's definitely made me laugh more than any other books I can think of
