I really liked them when I was a little younger, but I was actually a little disappointed when I went back to them. To sum up why - Harris sometimes dedicates a page to describing Sookie's outfits. I loved Sookie, the world, the world-building and the intricacy in that though.

Latest Review: "A Devil of a Time" by Gretchen Jeannette

I loved the whole series...until I got to the 12th book and couldn't force myself to slog through it. Many people felt the last two to three books were just Charlaine Harris fulfilling her contract and not as good as the earlier books. Over all the series is a fun and easy read. I don't think of the series as a waste of time. The books would be good for the beach or some other time when you don't want to tax your brain too much.
