Maximum Ride by James Patterson

Post by AwayFromReality »

Has anyone read James Patterson's Maximum Ride series?
I think they're honestly the greatest books I've ever read. And I've read a lot of books.
But... that's just me.
;)
I'm not alone though.
Anyway, if anyone else has read these books, what'd ya think?

I like Patterson too, especially because he's so versatile. He's done crime, fantasy, young adult and non fiction. He's mucho talented.

I really like the Maximum Ride series, though they seemed a bit geared more toward young people. I loved the first when I was in the 10th grade, but now that I'm older and I read the 4th and 5th book, they are not as good as I remember them being. I wasn't disappointed per-say, but it just wasnt as good as the other ones.

I am looking forward to the sixth!!!

I enjoyed it at first, but it was a little kid-ish and the whole save the enviroment thing turned me off from it in the end.

I thought the concept was good, but it wasn't executed as well as it could have been. The original two novels that featured the flying kids were far better (When the Wind Blows and Lake House). I kind of suspect that Patterson had someone else write this YA series and paid them a decent sum while he stuck his name on the cover.

Personally, I think there are better YA books out there.

I enjoy his books, but have yet to read this series. After reading what you all have written I'll have to check it out.

I'm not a big fan. A lot of my friends like him, but I find his writing a bit shallow. And I'm not interested in fantasy. I like things that are down to earth.
