The writing style is quick and breezy and there's something about it that I can't quite love, but that's ok.

I have never read this book but I watched the movies.... anyways, is the book well portrayed in the movie?

I liked the book ... but like many of those who've commented ... I like Angels & Demons better. Neither movie captured the suspense of the books. If you like the subject matter I recommend an earlier book by David Morrell called "Covenant of The Flame".

He created a whole new genre and you have to respect that I think.
Agree, stylistically, it did leave much to be desired and the narrative was both plodding and repetitive on occasion...but the over-arching them was very, very clever.
