Thanks. I always try to be fair and balanced. I agree that it's nice to read a book outside your comfort zone sometimes to get a different perspective.

Thank you Bookowlie for a nicely written review. However, not my kind of book to read. But I know you have attracted a lot of fans to this genre with your review. Looking forward to your next review.

Your review makes the book sound interesting. I might have to check it out. I might get confused with the time jumping around. I do enjoy motivational type books. Thanks for the review.

Although the time jumps are a bit confusing, overall the book is an interesting and inspiring read. You will be motivated to have a more positive outlook in your own life!

I really like your review, but I am not sure I could read this book. The poems you mentioned seem attractive, but the idea of having to read long winded philosophical sermons are putting me off!

Thanks AnushkaL and welcome to the forums. :) Although the sermon-style sections are a bit long-winded, they do tie in with the author's reminiscences.

Great review, bookowlie. I thin the book might be my cup of tea, even with its flaws. I like reading books that are complex and not perfect regarding writing style. It's challenging, isn't it?

Great news received! A short ad was printed in the New York Times Book Review (February 28, 2016) about my book "What Matters Most: Family, Friends, and Foes" being lauded as "a valuable read"! Feeling very ecstatic, the NYT Book Review - totally rocks!!!!

This was a wonderful review, and the first I read on the site. While it may not be my typical genre, the review captured my interest. I'm also interested in the book and wish the author continued success.

Flreader - The book is very inspirational and I think most people would be able to relate to the author's experiences and tie-in lessons. By the way, welcome to the forums!
