It's an easy to relate book specially for teenagers. Good job on the description of places. It's so easy to imagine the scenes that are happening.

The "play by play" and "blow by blow" aspect of the game and fight brought the reality of a high school football game to life for me.

I wanted to find out the reason for Brian and Deanie'so fight, and if they made up!

There were no grammatical or spelling errors found. Then again I was engrossed in the story- line and wasn't the looking. I would definitely read this!

It's nice that this story is so believable you are questioning whether it is fact or fiction. I bet it is a little bit of both.

Thank you for an excellent review! It sounds like a book with a dynamic plot that plunged a reader into that time atmosphere. It would be interesting reading for sure.

Sounds like a thought-provoking read. I love it when a book accurately portrays the time the story is talking of! Great review!

That is it! I will probably read it because I love quick paced books and from the review, the story is certainly intriguing.

In paragraph 5, ALynnPowers mentions how the appearance of some of the typos can possibly be blamed to problems with conversion to a Kindle format. I think this is an interesting cautionary note for reviewers who might be quick to judge author grammatical competency.

Amazing review Alynn! Thank you for giving us a glimpse of the story. I read the sample and I told myself 'this kinda my genre thing' and so, judging with the review you gave us I think I'm gonna love this. Congrats to the author! :-)

Great review! It's not really my kind of book but your review made it a bit more appealing. You made me think of the book reminding the atmosphere of Grease, the movie and alike it. So now as I've red your review, I could see myself reading the book sometimes when I feel like something retro. From the way you describe it sounds like a light book for an easy Sunday afternoon. Thank you ;)

I like this idea of details at the beginning coming into play later on. I think that this shows some really careful planning and plot construction.

I enjoyed the detailed review providing a good summary of the book. I do not know much about life in the 1960s in the U.S., so it will probably be interesting to read, although as noted it is not a happy story. Rather one that will provide a hard look at the peer pressure that Brian and Deanie are subjected to. It is refreshing to see the harm that gender expectations can have on young men being discussed.
