Thanks. It's always a sensitive issue when bringing up less than flattering opinions of a book. While it is meant as constructive criticism and an honest review, I think a book is an author's "baby" and it's hard to write these reviews sometimes.

I completely agree with you that sometimes writing a not so favorable review is so hard. But I love how you applaud the author at the end for the creative idea. They do sound like interesting stories, maybe the author needs to expand them more into novels rather than short stories to effectively get the story across.

Thanks. I don't know if the short stories necessarily need to be expanded into novels or even longer short stories. Although sometimes an author purposely makes an ending ambiguous to make people think, I think it's confusing if it's just too murky. Sometimes a little clarification goes a long way.

Well, the book is only about 50 pages so it's not a major commitment-style read. The subject matter is inventive, but honestly I think there are better choices out there.
