Nice review! The story sounds interesting, particularly that it's seen through the eyes of the lawyer.

Thank you! I loved that it was told through the eyes of the lawyer. I really felt he was a more reliable narrator.

Jesska6029 wrote:What I really enjoyed about this book is the purpose behind it, and the attention it calls to how the legal system treats juveniles. The author points out how too often kids are locked away for life, and this book shows how quickly kids lives can change after one impulsive and irrational decision.
Excellent review! Does "too often" refer to overly harsh sentences or too many murders committed by juveniles?

Thanks for the kind words! I used "too often" in reference to overly harsh sentences.

I think this type of story told through the eyes of a lawyer sounds intriguing. It certainly steers me away from my favorite genre (Fantasy), and I've been trying to read a little further out of the box I seem to have put myself in lately. I'll have to check this out.

Great review--thanks for sharing!

Thank you! I love fantasy books too! Reading non fiction is definitely a change for me, but I am loving it so far!

This looks like a great one to read, but I'm one of those people who reads things only once. I want to support the author, but this book is pricey, even for a kindle edition! Looking forward to getting it the next time I get some Amazon credits saved up :-)
