Brides and Betrayal by Michelle Lynn Brown is the first of a series. It's very strong Christian reading. Characters have all been touched by adultery.

The couple's marriage is having problems because he is afraid she will cheat like his mother and first wife. His solution is for her not to work or have contact with others if he can avoid it. He does allow church.

He views his father as weak because he remains married after his mother's affair. His wife's parents were a murder/ suicide after a affair. She found out that she was the result of that. She was forced into living with a cruel stepmother that taught her sex was wrong and that she would be just like her unfaithful parents.

She ends up having a one night stand with a widower suffering because his last words to his wife were ugly because of her affair. She confesses and divorce begins. She miscarriages their daughter.

She meets up with her father again though work. They focus on healing and he teaches forgiveness. Eventually though his mother's diary and a minister he is able to forgive and understand. Free on Amazon now
