Official review: The whispering Pines by Elliot Foster

Post by Rene rude »

The Whispering Lines by Elliot foster is a great book that takes up way to many pages. The story itself is beautiful; it follows a family that spends their summers in a cabin on a lake throught the years. The story is detailed and seems almost magical with a loving couple; their kids and grand kids. Their life on lake Dunbar is a sweet loving one with a lot of joy and laughter. The only problem that arises with this book is that it doesn't read like the author edited anything out. The author goes on distracted rolling lectures about the history of Minnesota and many other things that don't have anything to do with the Travis family. It seems like Elliot Foster was just fact stuffing instead of actually progressing the story. If I were to give this book a star rating it would get 3.5/5 stars. :D
