Sounds very dark. Great review Kappy!

I read and reviewed this story a while ago, and it was interesting to read this review and the comments to see a totally different viewpoint of the same book. I gave it a four stars because although many of the stories were morbid, it was equally as interesting.

From your excellent review, Kappy, I`ve got the impression that the book lacks of theme. If the stories were written around one or two noticeable and linked themes or subjects - no matter how dark - I`m sure the book would earn more scores. I have also noticed that the author had participated in this discussion quite a lot. Maybe, too much. I think it is better for authors - especially for the self-publishing authors - to read our comments and thinks about which are helpful for their future books. Because most of the time reviewers want to help and do the job what the editors would do. And most of the time we do it for free or for very little money. If I were the author, I would not argue with the reviewer but would grateful for her or his time and effort spent on the book. But at least the author of this book was not aggressive towards the reviewer.
