Yes an older book that I have been meaning to read for ages. I had never read a Tim Winton and finally got Cloudstreet. I had heard much about his so called grungey style of work so wanted to see for myself. The book/plot/story I enjoyed but found the writing style a hard slog. It seemed to have ideas all over the place which for me was hard to follow at times. I found I had to re-read pages over and over to understand the story. I probably wont read another Tim Winton.
