My Thoughts: "Ten Miles Past Normal"

Post by Geek McGyver »

This book is written by Frances O'Roark Dowell. It is written in a freshman's point of view. The girl is just going into high school and is totally weird. That's what every one seems to thing, at least. She's a girl that lives in the country, with goats. This book tells the story of how she wanted to be a country girl at first, but later regretted it. The book looks at the struggles of actual high school. Boys that seem like "Prince Charming" end up being the jerk, and the boys that you'd think were the bad ones, are really caring and sweet. This inspires me to stop trying to be "normal". Really, what is normal? I have to add, the book also deals with the mother-daughter relationships... in a positive way!
Great book. :)
