Do you judge a book by its cover?

Post by A_showers1196 »

We are told constantly growing up to never judge a book by its cover, mostly because our teachers and parents want us to pick our friends based on their personalities and not their looks, but when it comes to an actual piece of literature, do you take the appearance into account?

I am definitely guilty of this. This is how I pick a book to look into and then possibly read. When browsing amazon in the dead of night I cruise through looking at cover art and then, if it seems like something I'd like, I'll look into the summary and then do my buying. I have never let myself down with this method and I intend on doing it forever.
