"Home Front" by Kristen Hannah

Post by DDay6670 »

I just enjoyed reading this book. I just could not put it down. The story is so relevant to today's world. The mother who is a Blackhawk helicopter in the National Guard is deployed to Afghanistan. The book tells of the plight of an ordinary family dealing with having the mother, wife leave the family. You see the family grow as they deal with everyday, ordinary circumstances that happen to a family. It talks about what our service men and women go through as they leave their families and also when they return. Makes you think of how you would handle such life altering events. Great book. Good investment of time and money.
