Which book would you recommend to someone who has never read

I agree that it would depend upon what a person likes as to which book I would recommend. I can think of many books that may fit a person's preferences, yet there are age limits and genre to consider as well.
Some of my happiest moments are when lost within the pages of a book!

I would definitely recommend "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. I remember reading this as a child and how much I enjoyed reading it. I am going to encourage my grandchldren to read this one.
