I just finished Slaughterhouse-Five. Great book. I'll definitely check this one out once I'm done with the books I have.

Vonnegut often talked about giving his own books a grade on how well they were written. Mother Night, along with Cat's Cradle, was one of the few that received an "A". Both are excellent.

If you've never read a Vonnegut book before, then just go ahead and put this into your cart. Also add his other titles because you'll want to pick up another one after you've finished reading Mother Night. Yes, these books were written many decades ago, but the critics are correct in saying they still have relevance in today's time. Enjoy the read and reflection into today's environment.

So do the rest of you think Mother Night is Vonnegut's best book?

I'm adding it to my list of books to take out from the library.

I haven't read this one. Anyway what I like about K. Vonnegut is that he uses irony when talking about dark things.
