Outstanding review! I don't know much about Chinese culture, so I'm looking forward to learning more! Thank you!

What I read appeared interesting. However it started off a little strangely, but seemed to be a fairly good read.

This book, The Thread of A Thousand Miles by Alan Yang looks so enchanting. I like to read about international settings, so this tale based in China is not an exception to the rule. I appreciate the vivid review, and with no spoilers.

After reading the above review I am not sure if this book will be something I would read but I downloaded the sample and I will make my decision after reading it. From the review I gathered that this book involves two families and the way they interacted from the second World War till the 80s, which is the timeframe that this book takes place.
