Whose your Top Favorite Author?

I would have to say Stephen King, or JK Rowling or Dean Koontz or... Hmmm guess that's a pretty hard one to narrow down :D

I like classical writers like Jack London, Steinback and so on.

Been there, done that with the classics. Now I'm all for modern authors and at the moment I cannot separate my two favourites - Jasper Fforde and Kate Atkinson. Totally different in genre and style but both are very clever, highly absorbing writers.

It doesn't take a genius on this forum to guess that Stephen King is my number one favourite author of all time.

With the second and third placed - Dean Koontz and Clive Barker.

I'm with Jacob on that one, it has to be Stephen King, his books have everything, what a fantastic mind he must have.

Stephen King, the best of the best. Sure, he has gone off the boil a tad the last 2 years but i have no doubt he will come roaring back to his best again.

Bryce Courtenay is my #1 favourite author with Stephen King coming up a very close second!

I love reading books from George Manville Fenn as he writes books on Fictions which I really like to read.

This is a tough one, but I guess if I went by whose books I'll always read as soon as a new one comes out, it would be Sue Grafton. Stephen King would also be up there, but I don't read his fantasy novels, just his horror ones. But then, there are so many others, too...

I've heard great things about "The Thousand Autumns of Jacob De Zoet." Which one of his is your favorite?

Oh Lord Carrie how do I answer that? Right now I'd say The Thousand Autumns ... but only because it's the last one I read. He's a spectacular author IMHO
