Poe was a favorite of mine when learning about it in class i rather enjoyed his all but sadistic writing. The Mask of the red death was not as good as this one. The older English still dumbfounds me occasionally.

Revenge... There's a subject not one of us has ever explored before... :D This is one story that only shows how dangerous the guy next to you might be... I think I need to reevaluate my friends...

This short story has always stuck with me because of its nightmarish plot and the fact that my dad loved the Alan Parsons Project. They have created a large number of great songs where each is about a different Edgar Alan Poe story. My favorite song is "The Cask of Amontillado."

This story was so dark, as expected of Poe. I think the one that really creeped me out more was the Tell-Tale Heart which I have read 3 times.

Edgar Allan Poe could make Shakespeare wince at his superiority. For you all Who want a real mind warping tale, read Poe's William Wilson.

I read that twice. It's sad but really creepy if you think about what he did to the guy. That's really awful!

Oh, this story still gives me chills no matter how many times I read it. It's by far one of my favourites.

The Pit and the Pendulum and The Masque of the Red Death are my other two favourites.

This was one of my favorite pieces by Poe. He has such powerful imagery, but you should never sit down and read several of his stories in a row, because then you notice the running theme. He does dwell on being buried alive, or being killed in other creative ways though, doesn't he? Does anybody know what the family motto meant?

"No one attacks me with impunity". Fitting. Poe was one of my favorite authors growing up and I still love to read his stories. They are like old friends.
