I would bring a teddy bear that my husband gave me when we were dating. My second item was hard to select. There is not much that I do not think I could live without. Eventually I settled on my second item being a heavy duty water bottle.

As someone who has spent some years hitchhiking across Canada, I know the feeling of only being able to bring what you can physically carry. As part of the symphony, I suppose (apart from an instrument, and the obvious necessities) I would bring my copy of The Little Prince, and a couple of used travel tickets. Even though they're technically garbage, I have a habit of keeping the stubs. A train ride in England, a boat ticket in Budapest, flights to the Canadian Rockies, they all remind me of special people and places.

Choosing two items would be hard because there are many that have value to me. I would take my first teddy bear and a picture of my family and I.

If I were part of a symphony and had to choose two things to start off with to carry with me on my travels, they would be 1) my family's genealogy, and 2) books. All of which are meant to remind me of who I am and where I come from. I would take items that would help keep me rooted and prevent me from going criminally insane. Given that it's a post-apocalyptic world, there'd be a higher percentage of the possibility of me going criminally insane.

An unlined notebook and a pencil, to write and draw, to document, to remember, to plan, to maintain my essence.

I would take a pebble from a beach where my grandparents live and a journal to record my memories!

I would carry my locket, which has a couple of pictures of my family. Another thing I would carry would be my Bible. Some the read to keep my beliefs alive while traveling.

This is a very hard question. Matching Kristen's situation of a post apoplectic world, I would bring a mystery book (favorite genre but don't ask me to pick which book haha) and a photo of my family. I think the photo is important because Kristen talks about not remembering what her parents looked like. I would hope I would keep those memories alive but during a survival mode time, who knows what could happen.

I've often thought about this. Kind of like a 'what would you grab if your house is on fire' train of thought. I'd take both my children's baby books. Maybe then I would finally finish my daughter's book.

The two items that I would take with me would be a family photo and a notebook full of my story ideas. Both of these items are very valuable to me and they would be things that I would want with me.

I would say for keepsake items, I would bring one or two books. These would probably be "Of Mice and Men" and "Their Eyes Were Watching God." And they would be paperback, for weight's sake. :)

I would bring a blanket my grandmother made for me and a jewelry box that plays my favorite melody from my mom.
