Roadmap to the End of Days: Demystifying Biblical Eschatology To Explain The Past, The Secret To The Apocalypse And The End Of The World ( Inspired Studies Book 3) by Daniel Friedmann
This book is as the title tells us Daniel Friedmann’s Roadmap to the End of Days. He gives timelines of past and future events that show the way to the End of Days with high level descriptions, diagrams and tables. With the help of scripture and history he gives us context into God's plan for humankind, where we currently are in the timeline, what will happen to us if we don't don the right things, the chain of events that will lead to the culminating End of Days and to understand around when it will happen.
I gave this book 2 out of 4 stars.
I was raised in a religious household and while he might have gotten somethings right. I believe he got alot more wrong.
To understand what the end of days really means you need to have some kind of bible knowledge. God's original plan was for humans to live on earth peacefully forever in happiness. That plan failed when Eve ate the fruit. God’s plan never changed. In fact as soon as Eve disobeyed he put in place a plan of action to help us get back on track. Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your offspring and her offspring. He will crush your head and you will strike him in the heel. The strike is to occur in the “end of days” or Armageddon.
Friedman is right when he says that we are currently living in the End of Days. There are signs that tell us as such. 2 Timothy 3:1-3 says: But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal,3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness. This is how we see people today, those doing what is not right in God's eyes. But there will also be physical signs. We see these listed out for un in Matthew chapter 24.
Matthew 24:6-8 says: You are going to hear of wars and reports of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for these things must take place, but the end is not yet. 7 “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. 8 All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress. But the original intention for mankind was to avoid all this pain and heartache and that has not change.
When will it end? No one knows. There are no calculations can tell us when the end of days will be. But we know that there is hope. The Bible book of Psalms tells us the the “meet themselves will possess the earth, and they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.”(Psalms 37:11) The “righteous themselves will possess the earth and they will reside forever upon it.” (Psalms 37:29) We need to be on the watch and make sure we are on the right side of things when the end of days comes. We don't know when that will be only God himself knows.
