Hi all, I have always loved books (thanks to my mother's book collecting!) and my son (2 yr old) is already following suit. Tolkien became my favorite author in 3rd grade, back before LOTR was "cool". Since then my list of favorite authors has expanded and melded with other interest as well. I just recently started to delve back into some of my college favorites, starting with Sylvia Plath. I don't always have a lot of time to read books of my preference- a toddler tends to take up a lot of that time- but we read a LOT. EVERYDAY. (His choice!) I am hoping to carve out more time to enjoy books again!

Hello. From the looks of the recent intro posts, most of you are young,( mother of toddler, college student, etc.). I am not! However, I read every day, usually several hours. When I'm not reading, I write, paint, take care of two dogs ,two cats, one husband, and one remaining adult child. Our nest should have been empty for years now, but it is not. My reading preferences are anything from historical fiction to vampires, just so they are not 'heavy', as we said in the sixties. I'm not sure how to utilize this site yet, but hopefully it will serve as a good place to read reviews, and maybe even get to write one. Thanks.
