Icon Hello from a Troubled Reader!

Post by eatpraywrite »

Hello all!

I'm Aiden, and I'm very excited to be discovering this website! I mainly wanted to join because of all the fun support I saw for writing here, but also because I am a very troubled individual when it comes to reading!

I have not been officially diagnosed, but I believe I have a problem with anxiety and it has cut into my reading life. I used to tear through books when I was young, 'til I hit middle school and anxiety tracked my every thought as I read until reading just wasn't fun anymore. It's been a very, very long time since this happened and I've fallen severely out of touch with books, but I have never lost my connection with them entirely as I am on track to become an author!

But what is an author without reading others' books? So I am here to try to get support and advice so that I can get back into reading like before! :-)

Thank you for reading!
