Hi all, my name is Dee and I am an avid reader of pretty much any genre. I do have favourite authors that I return to time and again such as Anne Rice, Terry Pratchett and Marian Keyes to name a few, however, I love to "discover" new authors. I get stupidly excited in bookshops and spend hours in each one as I am unable to walk past them! My childhood was spent with my nose in a book, I loved the journey they took me on and I still love that feeling now. Thanks for reading my post :D

Welcome! Sounds like we had similar childhoods!

Hi all, would love to see your reading list Tamara_mc41 :-D

If you could all pick one book which you have re-read the most what would you pick? Mine was Queen of the Damned by Anne Rice. I loved the addition of Stan Rice's poetry at the start of chapters, it brought new meaning to the contents as Stan Rice's poetry is very deep.

Hi all. My name is Kate. I have been an avid reader ever since I can remember. I am a writer as well. I truly believe that the best way to become a good writer is to become a good reader. If you don't study the craft, how can you become an excellent craftsman.
Thanks,
Katie

Hi Kate, you make a very good point! What is your style of writing and have you had anything published yet? My Mom and Nephew and Uncle are writers. My Mom writes factual historical books, my Nephew writes poetry and my Uncle writes fiction, they have been published and I know how much hard work goes into it!
