An aspiring writer, college student, and bibliophile

Post by jamespoet »

Well, I suppose this is as good a time as any to form my introductions...

My name is James, everyone, and it is a pleasure to meet you.

I am a college student, an aspiring poet and short story writer, and I absolutely love books and movies. I am currently reading through a stack of Science Fiction and Grit Lit novels, and I hope to complete a book of short stories and a poetry collection of my own in the next few months.

I live at home in small town Virginia, and I have three dogs.

Well, that's all I can think of now, so I'll let you all go for the time being. I hope you all enjoy yourselves.
The joys of literature transcend the evils of the world. I believe in its miraculious baptism and emotional power of the words trickling down the page. To me, there is no higher artform...

Thanks for the welcome you guys. As far as my dogs, I have a Basset, a Beagle, and a mix breed rescue that looks like he has some black and tan in him.

He is the most loving out of the three, it seems. He just loves to get as close and cuddly with me and my parents as possible.

Hello James, I hope that you have a good time here and manage complete your anthology.
Personally I prefer cats and bigger dogs, but beagles and bassets are nice, and mix breeds are adorable.

I had a Golden Retreiver when in middle school, but he was stolen from us. :(

I tend to prefer smaller dogs because of ease of carrying them. But I love all dogs, and I love the way they jump up and down to greet me.
