Vampire Diaries

Post by atina_abd »

Hello there everybody, how are you today?
Any of you here follow the vampire diaries tv show? Have you guys read the books? What do you think about the tv version? I personally have watched the series till season 4 but stopped because of the changing main characters? Do you guys think the tv series did any justice to the book? And are the books any good?

Have a nice day :D

I've watched the show since it came on and I have read the first book of the series. I think the book series and the tv series are vastly different. Certain characters have totally different personalities and some characters don't show up in the tv series.
Either way, I love the show and I'm extremely sad that it is ending this season! :( I might end up reading the rest of the book series just to be able to hold on to the series a little while longer.

I watched Vampire Diaries and then I stopped when it seemed like every single person was either supernatural or had turned into a vampire. I liked the spin off, "The Orginals." I wonder what happened to that. :eusa-think:

I have never read the books but I watched the tv series. It used to be one of my favorite shows, but after a while it all was just getting too dramatic for me. It felt like every little thing was a threat to the whole town and I just got bored with it. I gave it a rest for a little while, but I did watch the series finale just to see how it ends.

The Originals is much better, the forth season started a few weeks ago but I prefer to watch loads of episodes in one go so I haven't seen any yet.

Vampires plus love stories are always worth reading and watching. I've fallen for Damon Salvatore in the television series. I have watched the season till 5th one but the stories are different as you read in the novel and watch on TV.
But it's a great work done by both writer and director as well as the actors .

I watched a few seasons of it until my interest fizzled out. I didn't realise there was a book! I also watched True Blood, and I tried to read the books but they were not very good...

I read the books as soon as I heard there was a series coming out. I loved the books, but the show deviates quite a bit from the story. There are a lot of different things that are in the show that is not in the books. I think that books were better personally, but I love the show too. I mean when they took Elena out of the story it kind of killed it for me. She is the main character and the story is about her.

I've read the books and watched the entire series, loved both of them.
the show itself is amazing as you watch the story unfold, you'd have to watch it to the end to feel satisfied though.
or at least that was the case with me :) I would definitely recommend you watching the series.

I've watched both the originals and the vampire diaries. Both are great but I prefer the originals. You all should definitely watch both of them until the end. It will be worth it. I never read the books, but I will in the future.
