Best Adaptation- Both great but i think i have to give it to 1995.
Best Costume- I think i actually prefer the 1980 costumes
Best Scenery- 1995 version

Pride and Prejudice 1995- 14
Pride and Prejudice 1980-7

Winner 1995

Feel free to tell me how wrong i am

Also i have seen some people say that Elizabeth Garvie was to old to play Lizzie. Which makes no sense to me considering that she was 23\24 when she played Lizzie. And Jennifer Ehle who is my second favorite Lizzie was 26.
A mistake is simply another way of doing things

I'd go for the 1995 one too, i.e. the newer one, considering the development of technology. The latter rendering the old films more vivid and exciting for our contemporaries.

I loved the rundown and now I am curious as to the 1980 version. I will have to say though that the 1995 version is my all time fave of the ones I have seen since. It was easier to follow and you did not get lost. I will have to add that even my husband who hares watching shows and movies like this with me likes the 1995 version.

I love the 1995 version of Pride and Prejudice. It was the first movie I watched and 1980 movie wasnt as interesting in comparison.

I saw the 1980 first and watched it repeatedly. It's my favorite. I think Rintoul (Darcy) and Garvie (Elizabeth) do such a great job. I had not read the book until after seeing the movie. This adaptation is spot on to the book.

I see the 1995 series adaption once every few months. It’s by far my favorite. I agree with Colin Firth playing the best Mr. Darcy. Jennifer Ehle did justice to Elizabeth Bennet’s Character, too. I was pleased to see Keira Knightley play Lizzy in the 2005 movie.

I would love to watch the movie that is the best adaptation to the book! I've watched only few scenes of the movie in English and I've watched the full movie in another Hindi adaptation but that was just not good.

I watched both and enjoyed both, but if I had to chose a favorite it would be the 1995 one. I have watched it multiple times and it's still my go-to.

Both adaptations are fantastic but I love the 1995 version. I think that the acting is spot on.

Both of the film adaptations were amazing to watch. In a battle, I would have to pick the more recent one, the 1995 version. This story is iconic and one of my favorites in classic literature.

I haven't watched the 1980 film version but I watched the 1995 one. It's definitely one of the movies I still keep on watching up to this day. Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet just gives me the butterflies in that movie. Hoping to watch the 1980 version though!
