Books Being Adapted: News, Rumors, and Upcoming

Post by Gravy »

Have you heard a rumor that a book is in the process of being adapted? Know of an adaptation that's coming soon?

The ones I can think of are:
  • A Monster Calls,
    written by Patrick Ness
  • Me Before You,
    written by Jojo Moyes
  • The Girl on the Train,
    written by Paula Hawkins
  • The Circle,
    written by Dave Eggers
Also, according to this post here, Ready Player One, written by Ernest Cline, and The Bone Clocks, written by David Mitchell, are either happening, or rumored.

Thank you, @"Gannon", and @"v_a_redwood", for finally forcing me to get off my Duff to start this thread
It's been bugging me lately, anyway :shhh:

Attention!
This is not a thread to discuss movies that have been released.
It is also not a thread to list which books you'd like to see adapted.
There are other threads that focus on those aspects.
This is only for adaptations that are already being done, or are rumored.
Thank you.

New adaptations of The Jungle Book, and Tarzan.

I've seen the trailers for both, and they look interesting.

I have always wanted the Dark Tower series to be made into a movie or tv series. Great casting as well. Can't wait. :)

That will certainly be interesting. I hope they can pull it off.

I heard that as well, and I don't think they could top Tim Curry as Pennywise (he put me off clowns for good). But I think they could improve on the original movie in other ways.
