Paleo/Low Carb Selections

Post by SnowInOhio »

Can anyone suggest good beginner cookbooks for trying no/low-carb cooking? I notice Paleo is very similar, in avoiding grains/dairy/sugars. I'm not trying to lose weight - I want to try the Dr.'s advice from the PBS show 'Eat Fat, Get Thin" since it fits well with naturopathic medical advice I have gotten.

Have you tried the Whole30 cookbook by Melissa and Dallas Hartwig? The book assumes the reader has no or very little cooking experience. Even if you don't want to do the Whole 30 eating plan, it is a great intro to paleo cooking. I fully recommend it.

Do you ever get on Pinterest? They have so many paleo/keto/ and low carb recipes. I have tried several and liked them all.

I've tried to go carb free a lot of times but I end up giving up because I can't find any carb-free diets. My reason for going carb free is to get thin though

That’s my go to option too.
