Rawsome Food Have you tried it?

Post by Joyful »

Has anyone tried Raw foods? I never thought I would EVER be into raw food. My imagination was filled with endless salads and crudite. I first tried some raw food cookies from Ani Phyo. Then I found Rawsome Vegan Baking by Emily Von Euw.

I love her recipes because they are super easy, require no special equipment except maybe small baking pans and they can be made very quickly. It takes me under 5 minutes to make cookies. She also has the easiest ice cream recipe around.

Ooooo I love the rawsome lifestyle! I follow FullyRawKristina she eats pure raw foods and creates amazing desserts! All healthy for you and you can eat as much as you want with no weight gain. It is why I love the raw lifestyle. They are easy, some days I just eat bananas or make a banana smoothie mixed with other raw foods. Leaves me vitalized throughout the day!

Raw Energy: 124 raw energy recipies for energy bars, smoothies, and other snacks to supercharge your body by Stephanie L Tourles. This book has some amazing recipies. I've checked out from my local library many times and intend to buy it. The snacks were easy to make and pack for healthy snacks. One of my favorite was a cherry cayenne power ball. Delicious!

I have never heard of the "rawsome" food books before but now that I read this thread I am very interested. I'll need to add these books to my list (maybe even Christmas gift list) and take a deeper look into this lifestyle. Thanks for the new info!

The only raw food I ever had was sushi and I wasn't a fan. I never heard of a raw dessert. I would be open to trying something like that though.

I have been eating 90% raw for a few weeks now, and it feels amazing!! I have mainly been sticking to salads, veggies, fruits, and raw nuts, but I am thinking about hitting up the book store and grabbing a raw cookbook. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love salad and fresh fruit, but some variety would be nice.

I have been vegan going on 4 years now, and I do my best to eat healthy. I didn't notice much of a change until I started eating raw. Now I wake up full of energy and am ready to go all day long without getting sleepy, my skin is brighter, and I just feel all-around better.

I love to eat raw food. I prefer salad and half boiled food. I always try to keep myself fit and raw food helps me with that. But, I never compromise with taste.

I haven't tried. I eat fruits and vegetables raw whenever possible but following rawsome diet is not my cup of tea.
