Like a lot of people here, Betty Crocker was my first adult cookbook. I have about twenty but rarely refer to more than three of them. I have some charity cookbooks from my hometown that I turn to when I'm looking to make something regional that I know I can't find anywhere else.

I received some cupcake decorating books in elementary school, but my first real cook book was Minimalist Baker's Everyday Cooking.

My first cook book was the silver spoon from phaidon.

It was a gift, I think, and I made a ton of dishes from there and got all the pages messy. I learned a ton of techniques from that book, and it got me to experiment with a lot of different ingredients even my parents didn't really know about. A lot of the recipes were really simple actually but they always impressed everyone.

Betty Crocker was my first cookbook! It's from the 70's I believe and my mom owns it. The more recent additions do not have nearly as many recipes as the original. I don't have many cookbooks as I rely on Pinterest most days, but I have 3 Weight Watchers cookbooks that I look at when I need new diet recipes.

My mom gave me her old copy of Doña Petrona's cookbook when I was a teenager and I loved it. I still have it in my library and check out recipes from time to time.

My first recipe book was the Better Homes and Gardens cookbook from my mom. I think she had used it a lot and it honestly has been pretty helpful.

I probably have about twenty (that I never use) and my first was The New Doubleday Cookbook. It got lost when we moved, so I'm hoping to find another copy. It taught me to cook when I got married twenty years ago.
