I prefer sweet tea when I read and I need to have something crunchy like popcorn to chew on. Any hot beverage will make me too sleepy and if I get into a good book I want to be able to stay awake. Also, the glass of tea can[t be too big because I don't want to have to stop reading just because I have to go to the bathroom.

A nice tall glass of wine to sip on for the next couple hours.

My favorite beverage while reading is probably coffee. Particularly Mocha's. That goes with most things that require me to focus though. Otherwise water would be my other choice. If I have a parched throat it distracts me from whatever I'm doing.

I think that it depends on what time of day I am reading but typically I would say, though, that I will either drink a nice cup of coffee or water.

I'd say hot chocolate with whipped cream, marshmallows with a little bit of Mexican vanilla extract in it.. Simply delicious.

The beverage changes...but it's always there. Coffee, tea, port or madeira (particularly late at night), iced tea, iced coffee. I have a "nest" next to my recliner. with my ereader, my current magazines, my notepad, and a coaster for that beverage. I guess drinking is better than eating (most of the time)...

I love to sit in a quiet corner and sip ice tea while I read a favorite book. Often times, I get so involved in the story that I don't drink the ice tea at all! When I realize this, the ice has already melted and the tea is warm. I need to get better at this, but in the meantime, I am enjoying the books!

Cold sweet tea in the summer.
Wine occasionally in the evening.

This is a great question because I have been paying more attention to what I drink while I read. I am currently reading this book on early western civilizations and have gotten up twice already for water. History books always make me thirsty because it requires so much concentration and involves so much reading. So I guess it depends on what I am reading. When I am reading less complicated books I can sip on tea or something more relaxing. Water seems to keep me alert as well as help to keep my brain functioning.

My favorite beverage(s) while reading are hot, sweet tea or coffee with hazelnut creamer. I have noticed that if I drink a soda while reading, I tend to get sleepy easier and I don't put as much effort into analyzing what I am reading.

Anybody like Chai Latte, I just love the warm feeling it gives me inside. If I can't have that, then I most definitely need some hot chocolate! :D

I enjoy Taster's Choice instant coffee. I use to be a tea lover but now I drink coffee. I think hot drinks make me feel cozy while I read.
