I'd write my own books and spend my days reading them!

That would be really terrible, but I would probably watch a lot more movies and people would probably tell more stories, which would be kind of fun. Stories are fascinating and there will always be stories in the world in some form or other.

Too sad for words...though I think everyone on this forum would agree that we would all ban together and form a resistance if this were to happen ;)

Oh my goodness. The first thing I would do is cry. Then I would freak out. Then I would reread all my favorite books!

I'd write a book of my own!

I'd write my own book, as many others have said. I'd also probably be obsessively reading cereal boxes, potato chip bags, soda bottles and all sorts of other random things. I also would have the few illegal books I hid away. Yeah, you can burn my home library, but you won't have ALL of my library. =|

That would be terrible if there were no books. I enjoy reading and would surely miss reading if there we no more books. My room would look a lot different as I have a lot of books on the shelves. And my career choice would be changed as I want to be a librarian if books no longer existed. So it would definitely be terrible if books were no more.

Break the law I guess.

People would always write...even if it were illegal.
You'd probably wind up with some sort of underground library or something.
Keep reading and keep it secret *shhhh*

Like everyone else has said, I would just write my own. Or watch movies... I don't think you could stop anyone from making up stories. It's like the traditional of every culture throughout history.

I would become depressed slowly but surely. Then, when I wouldn't be able to take it no more, I'd start writing my own book --- the most productive (and positive) stage of withdrawl symptoms :)
I don't think even that would satisfy the thirst, tho.
