ALynnPowers wrote:I was JUST thinking about this! I have like 6 pages of unread books listed on my kindle, and I've only read one book in the last week (and that one was for a review for this site!). And every time I look at any forum, I find at least two or three more books I want to add to the list.

Books are just awesome like that!
LOL…I joined Goodreads about 3 years ago. I now have 791  books on my To Read list. If I keep adding books I won't live long enough to read them. lol.

Yes, yes, and again yes.
My to read shelf on my nook is over 300 books.

My wishlist in the store is over 300 books.

I keep adding to it all. And this website and now Goodreads are NOT healthy for me. I keep wanting to read more books. MORE! MORE!

I know my number is high, but come on! Can you blame me? Books are just so pretty...and addicting.

It is definitely overwhelming sometimes when you stop and think about how little time you actually have to do the things you want to do. I always think back to the movie My Step-Mother's an Alien with envy because of the mom's ability to read a book in a few minutes.

I made it a new rule that I can't buy any more books until I have my "to read" list on my kindle down to 2 pages. I have 4 pages right now... By the time I make it there, so many new books will be out! So you guys have to stop recommending books to me!

Yes I feel that way all of the time! Especially now that I am in college and I don't have nearly enough leisure time to read as much as I would like. I went from reading books of my choice on a regular basis to now only reading subject specified school books. Now that I have made a pretty balanced routine, I will hopefully have a lot more time to read books of my choosing.

I have a HUGE pile of books on my book shelf and ebooks on my phone about 600 books in total yet to be read and I get so overwhelmed and excited. The way I keep adding to the list I don't think I will ever really get through the continuously growing pile.

I'm always the reader late to the party. When everyone else is up on the newest book, I'm patiently waiting until I'm ready to read them. I love the feeling of having so many good books waiting for me on my shelf.

Oh yes! & While it only feels like a few, I've downloaded HUNDREDS of books to my kindle!! Not to mention that most of 'em are just the first in a series of many!! It can get overwhelming knowing that you'll never read all the books you desire too... :(
but it doesn't mean you can't try too!! :D

I have had panic attacks because I'm worried I will never finish all the books I want. Call me crazy but sometimes I look at my bookshelf with all of the unread books and feel like I've abandoned them. It makes me sad.
