I am never at a loss for material to choose from since I buy books at a uses book store that is open only 3days a month with an incredibly ever changing selection. I should stop myself from going but I don't...that's a post for a different topic. One thing that factors in for me when choosing a new book (usually from my personal library) is the book I just finished. I don't enjoy reading emotionally heavy material back to back so if I have just finished something deep ill look at my young adult selections for a bit of a change. I find that when I switch genres i can really appreciate the stories more without the threat of stories mingling in my head and getting all messed up.

I can't imagine heaven without books either. The it wouldn't be real paradise.

Great advice. Thanks!
Somewhere out there is a world we never knew existed.

Languages never spoken.
Colors that should not be.
Lives never opened.
Eyes that never see.

And then the page is turned, a universe created.

We are gods.

My only problem in selecting a book is that there are too many interesting books for me to read! It's difficult to choose just one.

Sometimes I have a hard time choosing books to read as well. I just want to read everything all at once and it just isn't possible. At one time I even considered getting the listening books so I could listen to a story being read while doing the things that won't allow me to actually sit down and read.

Great advice! But honestly, my 'to read' list is already so long that I never really have trouble choosing a book to read. There are so many titles waiting for their turn on my kindle!

The is a great article! I usually go through the shelves and pick out what looks interesting to me at that time, and read it. Sometimes, I challenge myself:
I find a book with the most appealing cover, and sit and read that book. No matter what it is, I will finish the book. I found some really great books that way!
