Oh I loved the babysitters club series! I honestly never knew that the princess diaries was a series first, though that makes sense.Loverockers wrote:I started reading as a tween, so my first official books were the Princess Diaries series and then the Babysitter's Club.

Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket
I feel like there were others, like American Girl, Babysitters, and Judy Blume books but I'm not sure on the specifics. The two I listed though had the most lasting effect on me!

Yes! Very dark and depressing, but I loved reading this series when I was younger too. I just recently read through them all last year. Have you ever read K.A. Applegate's Everworld series? A lot shorter but just as dark.Rhoe_Marrow10 wrote:Animorphs by K.A. Applegate

No, I have not read the Everworld series. I wanted to, but it was something I just never got around to. maybe I should put them on my summer reading list.
