Very rarely, however, when I do begin to feel that way, it's usually because I've read a few duds in a row. Luckily for me, I usually read really good books, so it keeps me wanting to read forever.

I did get bored of reading before a couple of times. The reason was the never ending description of Lassie running through the hills.

There have been periods of time where I've simply been to busy to read a lot. But I've never personally been tired of reading, reading and writing are simply to interesting to tire of.

Not really. I may get crazy busy and not have time to read, but I never found reading to be boring. I think choosing books I'm interested in helps me to always look forward to when I can snatch a few minutes to read.

Have you ever gone through phases where, for whatever reason be it work or stress or just outgrowing your habits, you don't read?

Never really had this happen, I've come close when I've had way too many badly written books to review, but usually reading is my stress reliever and I tend to cling to it. Kind of comes with the whole being a librarian thing.

I used to but now reading has become a welcome escape for me so i am always excited to start a new book. I may jump around from genre to genre but I am always reading.

In general my reading habits come in waves. I've been known to finish three or four novels in the span of two days. Other times, I'll go weeks without so much as reading a book sentence. It really just depends.

I've come to realize that when I get bored with reading it's because of what I'm reading so I switch up my reading. For example, I would switch genres or pick up a magazine instead. But bored of reading? Never.

When I am pregnant, I will tear a series up!! But when I don't have raging hormones for two, I go in and out of reading phases. I usually swap it out for art, but too much facebooking has been the cause of some mind-numbing idleness in my life.

Sometimes I go through a spell where no books will hold my attention. But if I go without reading for a long period of time, I will get really depressed. Something about reading just helps my overall mood. It works better if the story I am reading is decent.

I haven't been bored with reading , but I have been stressed out enough that I couldn't calm down enough to read enjoyably.

It has happened to me a couple of times that I get bored and completely stop reading. Usually it's because I can't get into a book no matter how hard I try. I just can't bring myself to start reading. When this happens, I'll take a break form all books and then later start by rereading a book I really love.

No, I don't usually get bored of reading. Every once in a while I might get tired of it like if I don't have any new books to read and I've re-read and re-read all the books, I already have.

I do get bored sometimes but I think it depends on the book, some books I read and I find myself get bored so quickly and easily and never feel like finishing them but then with some, I get attached and read them at any chance I have.
