I remember having to put down Of Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck, at the end with Lenny, and walk away. Books have always been able to make me cry more honestly and profoundly then life itself, but that book specifically broke my heart.

I have never cried for any books as far as I can remember. I have been greatly affected emotionally, that after I read it I feel a complete different person. But to express certain emotion through tear has never happened. Now that I think about it I feel very weird as to why it has never happened before.

I'm such an emotional reader. Almost anything will make me cry. But the books that are coming to mind are:
Out of the Dust - Karen Hesse
Sybil
Deathly Hollows
The Book Thief

Oooh, I cry even if the ending is happy. I cry just because its over, especially if its a series that I've invested much of myself in. The end of Lord of the Rings always gets me... Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows...Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys... Mockingjay... So many more. Like I said, if I'm emotionally invested, even a happy ending mists my eyes simply because its over.

The Kite Runner made me bawl as well as The Book Thief. Any book where great characters die make me cry so much.

I remember crying when I thought Gandalf had died fighting the Balrog of Morgoth. I didn't even want to finish the books, but I'm glad I did.
